My son's bitoque was very tough, after trying to cut the steak in several places to see if it was the whole of the steak, we called the waitress to send it back... read more My son's bitoque was very tough, after trying to cut the steak in several places to see if it was the whole of the steak, we called the waitress to send it back. We were told it was not cooked properly so try to cook it a little more as this would help. It returned and was worse with a couple of the smaller pieces missing. Sent it back again and asked to change it to a chicken bitoque but was told to see the manager who was eating at the time. I had to speak to him while he was eating and was told the steak should of been sent back after the first cut and that we had eaten too much to return also the chef had left. Charged full price at the end so asked for the complaints book. Terrible attitude from the owner, will never return.

It had to change its name because there was one with the same name in Lisbon, Serves great dishes of the name for a cheap price. The A la Carte is good and not expensive. Indeed only O Pente nearby is cheaper and their olives are not as tasty. the range of dishes is good and the waiter is only too willing to translate into English. The clientele is mainly Portuguese and range from couples to families to workmates. There is a large car park outside and is worth the trip up there from the main part of Albufeira
