The grilled octopus and octopus and shrimp rice (lots of octopus and shrimp) are really good. And the gnocchi was incredibly good. Deserts are great. Good selection of wines and the staff are so nice and attentive. We liked the restaurant so much that the two nights we spent in Guimarães we ate there.

This is the specialty of the house and they absolutely WOW with it. Now, for those of you who have never had octopus (like me and are doubtful, THIS is the place to try it! (If you absolutely don't want octopus but are with some who do, they serve pasta that looked good! Now, back to the octopus: OMG! Delish! Well prepared sides, but octopus is the star of the show. And the waitstaff is excellent. The restaurant doesn't depend on one person to attend a table. We were discretely attended by three different staff members, all of them on top of their game and incredibly sympathetic to our lousy Portuguese (but BTW they also speak English! . If you are going to get Octopus while in Portugal, this is ABSOLUTELY the place to do it!
