It's the first restaurant on the is... read more The atmosphere at this restaurant was fantastic. Everywhere you looked, there were plants or artwork to pique your interest. It's the first restaurant on the island that takes your shoes when you enter, so you're barefoot during your meal until you need to use the restroom. They provide slippers for you to wear. The bathroom was large and clean. This local seafood spot serves traditional Filipino dishes with a twist. We tried their local fish, which was similar to red snapper but had a unique bouncy, chewy texture. We had it steamed with black bean sauce. The eel adobo was amazing! Even though it's a side dish, the portion was generous. My favorite was the seafood kare kare, which had the classic peanut butter sauce but with shrimp and squid instead of beef.

Upon arrival, we were asked to remove our shoes before entering the beautifully decorated dining area with wooden floors and cozy seating that felt like home. The service was excellent, and for my family and me, it was a true representation of Filipino culture and hospitality. We ordered calamari rings, blue marlin, seafood kare-kare, and lato salad. The calamari was tender and just right, the blue marlin melted in our mouths like butter. Each dish came with eggplant tempura, atchara, and lato. The seafood kare-kare was delicious and comforting, and the lato salad was fresh with diced tomatoes, onions, and mango. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and can't wait to dine here again.

There was even a ukulele and a beginner tutorial booklet along with it. The food was absolutely amazing! Mostly shared a bunch of the appetizers and enjoyed some drinks. The service was good and our server was really nice. You do need to take off your shoes once you enter the restaurant.

We had the Kalui Special Set meal which it said good for 2 but really could be for 3. It was a lot of food. Fish Cordon Bleu, Grilled Lapu-Lapu are also recommended The only thing we didn't like is the service. Our seafood kare-kare took so long to arrive that we were already finished eating and had asked them to cancel it
