Many options for fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh flowers, plants, nuts, etc. The market has been in operation since the late 1800s, but it's on the smaller side compared to other makets like Porto and Santarem.

Aquí, no dejes de visitar el Mercado del Pescado, la lonja de Aveiro. Aunque no vayas a comprar pescado, debes acercarte hasta aquí para ver este simbólico edificio de 1910, ejemplar único de la arquitectura de hierro en Aveiro. Si se acerca la hora de comer, no dudes en subir a la planta superior, donde hay un restaurante donde podrás degustar ¡pescados, por supuesto!, con unas magníficas Vistas al Canal dos Botirões (antiguo muelle de descarga de sal y pescado).

Era domingo, no el mejor día para tomar marisco según nos contó la simpática señora que nos sirvió la mesa, por lo que nos ofreció almejas, mejillones y calamares. El precio fue razonable y el servicio como decía amable, pero mejor no ir domingo, tenía razón.

El precio es más o menos como en todos, 60€ por pareja si te pides una caldeirada o cataplasma platos típicos . Los platos son grandes y vienen acompañados de verdura o ensalada y patata cocida,. Pero no recomiendo ir el domingo pues yo tuve problemas para elegir platos, al ser el último día de la semana no quedaba casi nada y todo eran pegas, se me acabó el rape, el rodaballo... Y la excusa que me pusieron fue que era el último día de la semana y hasta que el martes no repusieran ya era lo que había. La comida estuvo muy Buena, pero no me parece excusa la poca previsión que tuvieron.
